Understanding Service Expiration, Cancellation, and Automatic Renewal

At VPS4You, we aim to make our billing and service management straightforward. This article clarifies our policy regarding service expiration, how services are handled upon reaching their end-of-term, and our approach to automatic renewals.

No Automatic Renewal:

By default, none of our VPS or other hosting services are configured for automatic renewal. You will not be automatically charged for subsequent billing periods unless you explicitly choose to renew your service manually or configure an automatic payment method.

Service Expiration Process:

1. Expiration: When your service reaches its expiration date, it will automatically be stopped by our system.
2. Grace Period: Following the service stop, a grace period of 7 days is typically provided. During this period, your service data is retained, allowing you time to renew if you change your mind.
3. Data Deletion: If the service is not renewed within the 7-day grace period, all associated data, configurations, and the service itself will be permanently deleted from our servers. This action is irreversible.

Service Cancellation Requests:

Given that there is no automatic renewal, there is no need to submit a separate cancellation request to stop billing or service continuation. Simply allow the service to expire. If you wish to ensure data is deleted sooner, you may delete the service manually from your control panel if such an option is available for your specific service type.

We will send reminder notifications before your service expires, giving you ample opportunity to renew if you wish to continue using it.
